Q. What is the campaign goal?
The goal of the campaign is to raise $10 million within the next several years.
Q. Why is the Science and Engineering Endowment necessary?
Our country is the leader of the world in the fields of medicine, biomedical research, and technology. Christian young people who are called into these industries rely on supportive donors so they can receive unparalleled training that will enable them to excel in these fields in a way that honors the Lord.
Q. Is the campaign for cash gifts?
One-time cash gifts are always welcome, but pledge commitments are recommended and encouraged. Considering a pledge over a period of time affords friends an opportunity to give beyond the level of a one-time cash gift and greatly assists the S&E in careful planning regarding the use of the funds.
Q. What is the suggested pledge period?
Three-year pledges are best, but a donor may specify a schedule for pledge payments in any manner that is most convenient. Pledges may be paid in monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual installments.
Q. How will the $10 million goal be achieved?
If just 250 people would decide to faithfully support this campaign, each of those people would need to commit $4,000.00 per year for the next ten years to help reach the specified goal.
Q. What are other ways I may make a gift?
In addition to a gift of cash, here are other ways you can give.
- Marketable stocks and securities
- Closely held securities
- Real estate
- Life income plans such as charitable remainder unitrust and gift annuities
- Charitable annuity
- Remainder interests in residence
